New Day Defeat Bludgeon Brothers In No DQ Match To Win SmackDown Tag Team Titles

It's a New Day once again.

In the main event of SmackDown, New Day members Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston defeated the Bludgeon Brothers to win the SmackDown Tag Team Titles.

Here's how the end of the bout went down, courtesy of Fightful's live coverage:

The Brothers then powerbomb Kofi onto the ladder for a very close near fall before Rowan puts a table in the ring and Rowan goes to put Xavier through the time keepers area, but he moves just in time. Xavier then hits a springboard elbow drop onto Harper through a table for the pin and the win.

New Day "earned" the SmackDown match after defeating Harper & Rowan at SummerSlam via disqualification. Tuesday's bout was a No Disqualification bout. Big E, who participated on Sunday, sat out in favor of Kofi Kingston.

The victory marks the fifth time New Day has held tag team gold.
