The next episode of WWE Timeline will tell the tale of “The Kingslayer.”
Perhaps no WWE superstar has gone through a greater evolution than Triple H. Entering WWE in 1995, he was saddled with an aristocratic gimmick but would slowly rise the ranks to become one of the top Superstars and now an executive within WWE.
Throughout his many iterations, there has typically been one Superstar synonymous with every stage of his evolution. Shawn Michaels is synonymous with Triple H in D-Generation X, The Rock is synonymous with Triple H stepping out into the main event scene, and for his time as an executive, Triple H is arguably most synonymously linked to the career of Seth Rollins.
Triple H would anoint Seth Rollins as the first NXT champion back in 2012 and play a huge factor and Seth Rollins becoming a WWE Champion in 2015. This teacher-student relationship would last until the summer of 2016 when Triple H would turn on Seth Rollins leading to a match between the two at WrestleMania 33 in 2017. A match that almost didn't happen due to an injury suffered by Rollins leading into the match
According to a report by WWE Network News, this relationship will be the highlight of the next episode of WWE Timeline which will air this Wednesday, September 23. Past episodes include deep dives on the feud between The Miz and Daniel Bryan, Christian and Randy Orton, Bret Hart vs. Owen Hart, and most recently, Mickie James vs. Trish Stratus.
