The Motor City Machine Guns are once again IMPACT Tag Team Champions.
Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin ended the record reign of The North (Josh Alexander & Ethan Page) on IMPACT! After a competitive match, the duo of Sabin & Shelley picked up the victory when Sabin turned a double team attempt by The North into a roll-up on Page, which was enough for the three count.

This marks the second reign as IMPACT Tag Team Champions for Shelley & Sabin. The North held the titles for 382 days, which is the longest reign of any championship in IMPACT history.
Shelley and Sabin returned to the promotion at IMPACT Slammiversary and made an immediate impact, defeating The Rascalz in an open challenge. Later in the night, after The North defeated Ken Shamrock and Sami Callihan, the Motor City Machine Guns challenged The North to a title match for IMPACT!
