A new IMPACT World Champion has been crowned.
In the main event of tonight’s episode of IMPACT, Eric Young defeated Eddie Edwards to become the new IMPACT World Champion. This is Young’s second reign with the title, just weeks into his IMPACT return, and first since 2014.
The loss ends Edwards’ second reign as champion, which started less than two months ago at Slammiversary when he won a five-way match to capture the vacant belt. Young, who was also in that title match at Slammiversary, has been targeting Edwards and the title for weeks, even attacking Rich Swann.
