Roppongi 3K are back on top of the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Division.
At NJPW Sakura Genesis, Roppongi 3K (SHO & YOH) regained the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Titles, defeating El Desperado & Yoshinobu Kanemaru in the co-main event.
The finish saw YOH hit a butterfly brainbuster on Kanemaru to score the win. The match was YOH's first bout since June 2020. He had been sidelined with a torn ACL.
This marks the fifth IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Title reign for Roppongi 3K. The Suzuki-gun duo had held the belts since February 25 when they defeated the Bullet Club duo of El Phantasmo & Taiji Ishimori. Desperado & Kanemaru made zero title defenses during their reign.
