New No. 1 Contender For NXT Women's Championship Crowned At Great American Bash

Tegan Nox is now one win away from becoming the new NXT Women’s Champion.

Kicking off night one of this year’s Great American Bash, Nox won a fatal four-way elimination match to become the new No. 1 Contender to the NXT Women’s title. Nox last eliminated Dakota Kai to win the match.

The match started with Nox, Kai, Mia Yim and Candice LeRae. Within a few minutes of the match, LeRae was eliminated. This was followed by Yim’s elimination, which resulted in both Nox and Kai as the last two women standing.

The current NXT Women’s Champion is Io Shirai who, as of this writing, will face Sasha Banks, one-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, in a non-title match later in the show. NXT has yet to announce when Nox’s title match will take place.
