The reign of Karrion Kross has begun.
Closing out NXT TakeOver XXX, Kross defeated Keith Lee to become the new NXT Champion, just months after he made his NXT debut. This is Kross' first title in WWE and in NXT.

It's been a crazy past couple of months for Lee. He won the NXT title, as the North American Champion, by beating Adam Cole in the Great American Bash. After defending both titles against Dominik Dijakovic, Lee surrendered the North American title in order to focus on defending the NXT Championship. Less than two months ago, Lee was holding both the NXT and North American Championship and now he holds no titles.
