On Tuesday's NXT, Isaiah "Swerve" Scott captured the NXT North American Championship by defeating Bronson Reed. The finish saw Hit Row get involved, momentarily distracting Reed on the outside. As he tried to get back in the ring, Scott hit Reed with a House Call followed by a 450 splash to scure the pinfall and the championship.
The match was set up earlier on the show after a vignette aired for the upcoming NXT Breakout Tournament. Reed and Scott were both part of the tournament in 2019. Scott lost to Cameron Grimes in the first round while Reed was defeated by Grimes in the second round.

This marks Scott's first run as NXT North American Champion. Reed won the title on the May 18 episode of NXT, defeating Johnny Gargano in a cage match.
