After a 300+ day reign as WWE Women's and Divas Champion from Charlotte, a new title holder was crowned on Monday's episode of Raw.
Sasha Banks became the WWE Women's Champion after defeating Charlotte. The match saw back-and-forth action, and Sasha Banks causing Charlotte's protege Dana Brooke to get ejected from ringside after pulling some plays out of her childhood hero Eddie Guerrero's book.
This marks Banks' first reign as WWE Women's Champion, and her first title run on the WWE main roster. Banks joins both Charlotte and Paige as women to hold titles in NXT, and the main roster, and Charlotte as women to hold the NXT and WWE Women's Championships.
Sasha's victory comes 54 weeks after making her WWE main roster debut along with the aforementioned Charlotte, as well as Becky Lynch, and 11 months after losing the NXT Women's title to Bayley in her farewell match .
