After last night's impressive WWE Raw showing, Smackdown knows it has some catching up to do.
Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena admitted as much on Twitter this morning, when he put over Raw's output. He also says that something big is coming for Smackdown.
"Raw brought their A-game last night, but I know Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan have something big in store for Smackdown Live tonight!," Cena said in the tweet.
It was later revealed that Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon look to announce a number one contender to Dean Ambrose's WWE title on tonight's show.
The show will likely feature the WWE main roster debuts of American Alpha, Carmella and Alexa Bliss, just two nights after fellow NXT callup Mojo Rawley rushed to the aid of his Hype Bros. partner Zack Ryder. With no tag champions or women's champion on Smackdown Live, those issues are still surrounded with question marks as well.
