This will be the first-ever NXT TakeOver to take place on a Sunday. As it stands right now, the NXT TakeOver event that would typically take place during Royal Rumble weekend has been replaced by a Worlds Collide event. This is also going to be the first NXT TakeOver to take place in February in 4 years. The last one was NXT TakeOver: Rival, which saw Kevin Owens win the NXT Championship from Sami Zayn.
This change was first revealed when the Royal Rumble travel package tickets went on sale. WWE would later put out a statement saying that and updated TakeOver schedule would be revealed in the near future.
