Nia Jax Feels WWE Is Due For Evolution 2, Believes Simone Johnson Can Become One Of The Greats

Nia Jax, like many female WWE superstars, is ready for Evolution 2.

WWE Evolution, the first-ever all-female WWE pay-per-view, was held in October 2018 and was a critical success for the company. Though Evolution 2 has been teased for over a year, there have been no concrete plans for a sequel.

Speaking to Digital Spy, Nia Jax discussed the possibility of Evolution 2.

"I will never forget the feeling that we had that night, the energy, the empowerment that was going on in the locker room and all of us just cheering each other on," she said. "It was incredible, we were able to carry that entire show on our own and I feel as though we're definitely due for another one because new faces are in the mix and I feel like everybody should be able to see what the women are capable of right now."

Nia follows The Bellas, Lita, Natalya, and more as those who have publicly pushed the idea of Evolution 2

On the subject of evolution in wrestling, Nia was asked about The Rock's daughter Simone Johnson and her chances at following in her father's footsteps.

She said, "Simone obviously has this in her blood and she has been such a huge fan since she was a young girl. She knows the ins and outs and she's going to be able to pave her own way and her own path. She obviously knows the legacy she has to follow, it's quite a legacy her father left for her. But she is so ready to pave her own path and do her own thing. I'm super excited for her and I can't wait to see what she's going to be able to do. She has everything it takes to become one of the greatest Superstars. I know she'll make great waves and I can't wait to see it."

Simone has been training at the Performance Center, but it is unknown when she will make her in-ring debut.

As for Nia, she competed for the Raw Women's Title at Backlash against Asuka, but the bout ended in a double count out. If you missed anything from WWE Backlash, check out Fightful's full report on the show by clicking here.
