Nia Jax discusses her first bout with Ronda Rousey.
Rousey's first singles match in WWE came at Money in the Bank in June when she challenged Jax for the Raw Women's Title. Rousey was moments away from capturing the title when Alexa Bliss interrupted the bout, cashing in her Money in the Bank contract.
Speaking to SPORTbible, Jax discussed being Rousey's first one-on-one opponent.
"It was pretty incredible," she said. "I was in there with one of the greatest athletes in the world and she is, being in the ring with her, you can tell. And she has a great work ethic, she's incredibly strong and I feel like we have some serious unfinished business that I really want to get back to where we started. I feel like we started something really special and it can only get better so I can't wait to see where it goes."
Jax will get a chance to finish her business with Rousey in the near future. After winning the battle royal at WWE Evolution, Jax earned herself another crack at Rousey and the Raw Women's Title. Before Jax gets a rematch against Rousey, the current Raw Women's Champion will have to face SmackDown Women's Champion Becky Lynch at Survivor Series.
As for Jax, she aligned herself with Tamina last Monday on Raw. Despite their newfound partnership, Jax is in no rush to see Women's Tag Team Titles enter the fold.
