Nic Nemeth Comments On How Much Longer He Intends To Wrestle

Nic Nemeth, formerly known as Dolph Ziggler in WWE, gets asked about how much longer he plans to wrestle.

Nic Nemeth first appeared on WWE television 20 years ago, working as the caddy for Kerwin White (Chavo Guerrero). He re-debuted a few months later as a member of the Spirit Squad. That run led to several main events against Triple H and Shawn Michaels, before he returned to developmental, and then re-debuted in 2008 as Dolph Ziggler. He remained a key part of WWE TV for over a decade as Ziggler until his release by WWE in 2023.

Now, Nic Nemeth competes in TNA, and he also had a brief stint with New Japan Pro-Wrestling. With over twenty years in the business, fans wonder how much longer he plans to wrestle and if he ever thinks about retiring. This very question was asked to him by Chris Van Vliet during a recent interview.

The former TNA Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion admitted that he thinks about retirement sometimes. Still, mostly, he’s impressed that he’s been wrestling so aggressively for so long without any serious injury.

“Every once in a while, I do. I don’t understand how, the way I bump and move my body around, and as a workaholic and fly so much, how I am not in more pain and I’m not injured more.”

Elsewhere in the interview, he spoke about nearly leaving WWE after his SummerSlam 2019 match against Goldberg. Read more here.
