Nic Nemeth Drops Steve Maclin, DJ Whoo Kid Trashed, Ethan Page Wants TV Title | TNA x ROH Fight Size

Here is your fight size update following TNA iMPACT! on AXS TV and ROH Wrestling on HonorClub for Thursday, January 18, 2024.

Below are highlights from both Thursday night wrestling shows.

Drew McIntyre Not Medically Cleared To Compete On 5/6 WWE Raw, Pulled From King Of The Ring Tournament

TNA iMPACT!

- Nic Nemeth officially addressed the TNA Wrestling fandom on January 18. He made it clear that his goal is to become the TNA Wrestling World Champion. He was eventually interrupted by Steve Maclin. Maclin said that he was going to do his best to make sure that nobody remembered Nic Nemeth and people would only ask, "Whatever happened to Dolph Ziggler?" Ultimately, Nemeth would drop Maclin with the move formerly known as the Zig Zag which has now been dubbed the Danger Zone.

- A video package showed AJ Francis and DJ Whoo Kid attacking Joe Hendry at TNA Hard To Kill. It was later shown that Joe would get his revenge by trashing DJ Whoo Kid and the laptop that was used to attack him.

- Jake Something kicked off the night with a big victory in Scramble action.

- In an upset victory, Xia Brookside defeated Tasha Steelz.

- Frankie Kazarian turned on Eric Young after they lost to The Grizzled Young Vets (James Drake & Zack Gibson).

- Jai Vidal got squashed by PCO after insulting Las Vegas.

- Gail Kim tried to explain to Gisele Shaw that she no longer needed The Shawntourage. Shaw wasn't very receptive to that.

- The System works. Trust The System.

- Kazuchika Okada returns to TNA next week.

- The show ended with Josh Alexander defeating Will Ospreay in a tremendous match. Afterward, Scott D'Amore cut a promo praising both men and putting over TNA's return.

Ring of Honor

- Ethan Page made it clear that he wants to be Ring of Honor World TV Champion.

- Johnny TV continues to deny Dalton Castle a match.

- Billie Starkz and Lexy Nair were not pleased with Nyla Rose attacking their minion Overlord, Athena last week

- Matt Taven and Mike Bennett defended the Ring of Honor World Tag Team Championship over the Iron Savages

- Kyle Fletcher successfully defended the Ring of Honor World TV Title over Christopher Daniels.

- AAA Mega Champion El Hijo del Vikingo defended his title over Action Andretti. Vikingo pulled double duty on January 18 as he was also on TNA.

- Mark Briscoe, Claudio Castagnoli, Nyla Rose, Diamante, and more picked up victories
