Nic Nemeth Says Vince McMahon Paid The Half Million Dollar Fine To Let Him And John Cena Go Over The Curfew Time At 2012 MSG Live Event

Nic Nemeth recalls tearing the house down with John Cena.
On December 27, 2012, the former Dolph Ziggler and John Cena headlined WWE’s annual Madison Square Garden live event, facing each other in a Steel Cage match.
Speaking with KVIA ABC-7, Nemeth revealed that the bout is one of his favorite matches of his career.
“One of my absolute favorite matches I’ve ever had was with him was at Madison Square Garden in a steel cage, not televised.”
Nemeth also recalled nearly running into curfew issues with the venue.
“Here’s the best part. There is a curfew with MSG and if you don’t hit that curfew, the building becomes a half of a million dollars more. We’re down to the main event with the steel cage and there’s eight minutes until — after this, it’s a half of a million dollars on Vince’s tab. I’m like, ‘What are we doing, we can’t shortchange these guys?’ He went, ‘Absolutely not, we’re going.’ Talked to the boss, boss goes, ‘Give them their moneys worth.’ We went out there for 30 minutes.”
Earlier this month, Nemeth revealed how much longer he plans to wrestle for. Check out his full comments by clicking here.
