Nicholas Jackson Jokes That The Young Bucks Will Book Themselves On Top At AEW Double Or Nothing 2024

That's one way to ensure a victory.

At AEW Double or Nothing 2024, The Elite (Matthew Jackson, Nicholas Jackson, Jack Perry, and Kazuchika Okada) will face Team AEW (Bryan Danielson, Darby Allin, Dax Harwood, and Cash Wheeler) in the Anarchy in the Arena match. This will mark the Young Bucks' second Anarchy in the Arena match. Speaking on AEW Unrestricted, AEW EVPs Matthew and Nicholas Jackson discussed competing in the Anarchy in the Arena match, and Nicholas Jackson joked that they would book themselves to win this time.

Nicholas Jackson: Anarchy in the Arena, that’s going to be a great one. That’s the second time we’re going to be in it. Last time, we failed to win, but this time, I think we’re gonna book ourselves on top.

The Young Bucks were then asked about Eddie Kingston getting hurt and Darby Allin replacing him in the Anarchy in the Arena match. Matthew noted that Kingston got bit by the injury bug, and he pointed out that several people had been sidelined with injuries recently.

Matthew Jackson: Poor Eddie, huh? Eddie got bit by the injury bug. What bad timing for that guy.

NJ: Prayers up for him, too, right?

MJ: I’ve actually included him in my nightly ritual prayer with the kids. They felt bad, they like Eddie. I heard that it was something maybe with his leg? I don’t know how that happened. But it’s funny, it’s like all these guys, they keep getting banged up, and all these terrible things happen. Tony [Khan], now Eddie, and even Kenny [Omega], it’s like one thing after another. Then Darby shows up, and it’s like Darby wants in on the fun. So, all right.

Nicholas Jackson then stated that Allin also got bitten by the injury bug, and he wished him luck. However, he expressed his confidence as he said that The Elite had a good game plan. Matthew went on to joke that Allin got hit by the injury bus.

NJ: What’s weird is he’s gotten bitten by the injury bug as well, and I guess he’s got big enough balls to show up, even injured, which is pretty crazy. Good luck to him, but I don’t think he’ll make a difference in the match because we have a pretty good game plan.

MJ: I think that he didn’t actually get bit by the injury bug. I think he got hit by the injury bus. The universe, it’s out to get the guy. Like, for a bus? Come on, what is this, Final Destination?

NJ: I don’t know if there’s footage of that, but man, would it be pretty funny to watch [laughs].

During the interview, Matthew Jackson discussed AEW's growth. Check out his comments here.
