Nick Aldis Feels His SummerSlam Match With Gunther Is Evidence He Has Made An Impact And Been A ‘Significant General Manager’
Nick Aldis believes his upcoming SummerSlam match is evidence of his impact as a 'significant' general manager in WWE.

Nick Aldis believes his upcoming SummerSlam match is evidence of his impact as a ‘significant’ general manager in WWE.
At WWE SummerSlam, Aldis will temporarily be operating outside his role as the general manager of WWE Friday Night SmackDown to face off with Gunther, who has blamed Aldis for his recent removal from the WWE title picture.
While speaking to The Sportster in a new interview, Nick Aldis spoke about his overall time as a general manager.
“I felt like there was a new spin on that character that was available. Overall? Well, let’s just put it like this without sounding too cocky. I must have done something right given the fact that the GM is having a match at SummerSlam. So I guess it means I must have made somewhat of an impact and been somewhat of a significant General Manager.”
Aldis would also briefly discuss his moment at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event in Madison Square Garden, where he would cost Gunther an opportunity to go on to SummerSlam for a WWE Championship match.
“If that turns out to be the last thing I ever did as GM, it was a good one to have a moment like that at Madison Square Garden.”
Elsewhere in another recent interview, Seth Rollins was shocked to learn Aldis is younger than he is. You can read more about that here.
