Nick Aldis Turns Heel On 6/15 IMPACT, Hits Alex Shelley With IMPACT World Championship

Nick Aldis is hungry for championship gold.

After winning the 8-4-1 match at IMPACT Against All Odds, Nick Aldis became the #1 Contender for the IMPACT World Title. He came to the ring on the June 15 episode of IMPACT, interrupting his opponent for Slammiversary, Alex Shelley.

Aldis praised Shelley for pulling him up when he was at risk of becoming another soon-to-be-forgotten name. He followed that, however, by saying that his trajectory only went up from there and he's glad that Shelley finally rose to his level.

After the main event, Aldis grabbed the World Title and got on bended knee, ready to present Shelley with his title. After standing up, though, he would strike Shelley with the belt and stand over his downed body before being chased away. Aldis would trash talk Chris Sabin on his way up the ramp, a complete 180 degree turn from the message of respect and gratitude he preached earlier in the night.
