Nick Khan: John Cena Called Me After His Match Against Logan Paul And Said, ‘He Has It’
At WWE Clash in Paris, John Cena battled Logan Paul in one of his final PLE matches.
Paul has been a featured player in WWE since transitioning to an in-ring career, picking up the sport quickly and earning praise from fans and peers. Including Cena.
Appearing on Impaulsive, WWE President Nick Khan revealed what Cena told him following his match against Paul.
“Going into that match, I know John won’t mind me saying this, I said, ‘Give me your feelings on Logan.’ He said, ‘I’ll let you know after the match.’ Called me maybe an hour or two after the match and said, ‘He has it.’ It was never, ‘Does he have the physical skills to do it?’ In-ring, everyone knows you’ve put in the time and can do it. For John, it was, can you work the crowd with him? Can you give and take with him? Do you know how to follow direction and take the lead? Certainly, from this seat, you proved yourself to him. I find life is always about proving yourself over and over. Even if one says to themselves to a certain point, ‘Why do I have to prove myself so many times?’ That’s the way it is. You got Cena’s validation, which to me, meant a lot. We expected you would get his validation,” said Khan.
Cena was victorious in the match against Logan.
Elsewhere during the interview, Khan gave his thoughts on Rey Mysterio joining WWE and how the machine got behind him. You can find his full comments here.
