Nick Khan Lied About WrestleMania 40 Main Event Plans Never Changing

Nick Khan lied that WrestleMania 40 main event plans never changed.

Speaking to SBJ recently, Nick Khan claimed that WWE didn’t change plans leading to WrestleMania 40. Cody Rhodes handed his WrestleMania spot to The Rock, but after fan backlash, he was inserted into the main event again. Although Khan said that this was always supposed to be the plan, it was a lie.

Fightful Select said this about the situation:

“Nick Khan lied to Sports Business Journal about the WWE WrestleMania 40 main event.

Both publicly and privately, Cody Rhodes and others had said that if the fans knew what the actual plan was going to be with him at WrestleMania 40, they would have been even more angry. Fightful Select still has not learned exactly what that plan would have been, but it certainly was changed.”
