Nick Khan: We Think Both WrestleMania 42 Main Events Will Overdeliver, Especially With Pat McAfee’s Addition To Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton

The WWE President talks about the WWE WrestleMania 42 main events.
Headlining night one of WrestleMania 42 on April 18th is the Undisputed WWE Championship match between Randy Orton and champion Cody Rhodes. Headlining night two the following day is CM Punk defending the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Roman Reigns.
WWE President Nick Khan spoke about the two main events while chatting with the Las Vegas Review-Journal. He touched on the fan complaints about ticket prices and the build to WrestleMania.
Khan said let’s see what the reaction is after the weekend concludes. He went on to state that the internal belief is that both main events will overdeliver.
“Let’s see the reaction (when) the show is done. I think a lot of times with WWE storylines, they take a moment to develop. We have the good fortune when we’re on the inside of knowing where we’re going. If you look at the two main events, there is real heat there and when the storylines are blurred between reality and pre-determined outcomes in WWE, we think that always delivers, and with the (Randy Orton vs. Cody Rhodes), especially with the addition of Pat McAfee, we think both will overdeliver. Let’s see.”
In a separate media appearance, Khan directly addressed the ticket prices for WrestleMania 42. His comments can be read here.
