Nick Wayne Defeats Chris Jericho At AEW WrestleDream, Wins Series 2-1
Nick Wayne scores a victory over Chris Jericho.
At AEW WrestleDream, fans got to see the third singles match between Chris Jericho and Nick Wayne. They first faced each other on September 16 on AEW Dynamite, where Jericho won. Wayne would even the score during their next meeting at AEW Grand Slam France. Both wrestlers then agreed to have a rubber match in the Orlando event.
Towards the end of the match, a referee bump spot took place. Wayne then hit a low blow on Jericho, but the latter had come prepared wearing a groin protector cup. Moments later, Jericho delivered a low blow of his own to Wayne and went for the Judas Effect. He ended up missing and then got rolled up for a pinfall by Wayne.
Wayne has won the series 2-1 against Jericho.
