Nicole Matthews is into the second round of the Mae Young Classic, but it might be awhile before we see her on US soil again.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Matthews is banned from the United States for five years. Matthews was on her way to Washington from her hometown Vancouver, British Columbia to work an Independent show. She was stopped at the border and reportedly did not have her visa to to wrestle.
Matthews addressed the ban on Twitter.
Matthews is currently taking part in the second annual Mae Young Classic, which was taped in August.. She defeated Isla Dawn in the first round of the tournament and is scheduled to face Tegan Knox in round two. She was regularly featured at DEFY Wrestling events and has competed for SHIMMER and ECCW in the past. In 2016, she wrestled Asuka on NXT television in Canada.
