Nigel McGuinness Says He'd Love To Return To PROGRESS, All Bookings Now Go Through AEW

Nigel McGuinness was part of PROGRESS Super Strong Style 16 during the last weekend of May, serving as an announcer, a referee, and performing his magic show.

Nigel never wrestled for PROGRESS during his time as an in-ring competitor, but is one of the top performers to come out of the United Kingdom.

Speaking to Wrestling With Johners, Nigel was asked about a potential return to PROGRESS.

"I would love to. I would love the opportunity. I booked this weekend before I signed with AEW. Obviously, anything in the future has to go through AEW, they are my prime concern right now. The wonderful thing about working for AEW is that the flexibility and openness to let you do other shows, not just wrestling shows, magic shows as well, and that all comes from the top, comes from Tony Khan and that love that he has for entertainers and respecting performers and knowing that they have this creative need. He lets most people do what they want to do, and I appreciate Tony, AEW, and PROGRESS Wrestling," he said.

While Nigel was taking part in PROGRESS shows in the UK, he was being disparaged by Bryan Danielson in the US following AEW Double or Nothing. You can find Danielson's comments towards Nigel by clicking here.
