Nigel McGuinness Scores Win Over Josh Woods In Pure Rules Match At ROH Supercard Of Honor 2026

Nigel McGuinness walks away with the victory at Supercard.

The main card of Ring of Honor’s 2026 Supercard of Honor pay-per-view started with a Pure Wrestling Rules match between Nigel McGuinness and Josh Woods.

It was McGuinness’ first match since December 2025. The conclusion of the bout against Woods saw Nigel pick up the victory.

Going into the match, McGuinness did media and stated that if he was to beat Woods, he wanted another crack at Lee Moriarty for the ROH Pure Championship.

Moriarty and McGuinness have met twice in singles action for the Pure Title, and Moriarty won both matches. They met at Final Battle 2024 and met again at Final Battle 2025.

McGuinness returned to the ring as part of the Casino Gauntlet at AEW All In London in 2024. He’s since wrestled the likes of Bryan Danielson and challenged for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship. That match took place at Forbidden Door 2025.
