Nikki Bella: John Cena Never Took One Paycheck From 'Total Bellas'

Nikki Bella is now happily dating Artem Chigvintsev, but before she started dating her former 'Dancing With The Stars' partner, fans watched her and John Cena through the good times and bad. The relationship and break-up between Bella and Cena was chronicled through 'Total Divas' and 'Total Bellas.'

The two got engaged at WrestleMania 33 but called off the engagement a year later. Fans witnessed the end of their relationship play out on 'Total Bellas.' And while Bella has moved on, she does have one regret on how the break-up was portrayed through the reality show.

"The one thing I really regret about showcasing the breakup is that no one got to hear [John’s] voice, and it just seemed so one-sided. I felt like that wasn’t fair to him because he was on this journey with us from the beginning. What people don’t realize is that John never took one paycheck from Total Bellas. It was beautiful—he was fully there to support me. I’ll never forget his support and his love. That’s what made me sad—I don’t want to say it became the Nikki show, but in a way it did because you didn’t get to see John anymore," Nikki told Health Magazine.

Brie revealed that she thought Nikki made a mistake by calling things off with Cena but admitted that she saw them wanting different things.

The fifth season of 'Total Bellas' is set to premiere in 2020.
