Nikki Bella Says Doctors Have Put Her On The Retired Bench 'For Life'

Don't hold your breath for The Bella Twins return.

The Bella Twins kick-started a new era in women's wrestling with their reality show, Total Divas. Because of the success of that show, the Bellas were also at the forefront of the women's evolution, and Nikki Bella even got to be in the main event of WWE Evolution against Ronda Rousey.

Now, Nikki and Brie Bella are in a new phase in life. Motherhood is their most important job and they also have side businesses like wine-making that keep the hustle going while no longer taking bumps.

While the subject of a Bella Twins comeback has come up often in recent years, Nikki and Brie Bella were recently on the Sippin’ the Tea show with Ariane Andrew, the former Cameron in WWE, and Nikki Bella reveals that as of now, she is still medically uncleared to compete.

"I would love one day, like when Matteo's maybe three, and he knows it, to have my son be ringside while his mom kicks ass. That would be amazing to me. But because he is my everything, I have to listen to the doctors and as of now, they've put me on the retired bench for life. So, it would take a lot of scans, x-rays, and all this different stuff for them to actually approve me to have a run and so that would be unlikely -- that will be years down the road."

Despite this, Nikki Bella is happy where she is in life right now. She and Brie Bella both claim that they want to be winemakers and she says she has found her happy place.

"I love waking up in the sun comes behind the mountains and it shoots on the vineyards and I just stare at it every morning, because Mateo has me up at 5 AM, and [I love seeing] how the sun sets. I know I'm where my soul is meant to be. The wine industry, winemaking, and anything with wine, I'm like happy It's my happy place."

"You just kind of evolve differently," Brie added. "We're gonna always have a love for professional wrestling. It was a huge part of our lives, and it was such a great time traveling the world, and getting the ring, but for me, I just feel like I'm in such a different place in my life and a place I really love. We're gonna be 38 in November and I'm like, you know too, for us to be winemakers and well, I can't imagine taking a bump right now."

In the very recent past, Nikki and Brie Bella both have stated that they want to win the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship and that there was a plan for them to do that after WrestleMania 35 where they would challenge the IIconics for the championship. However, as it stands right now, The Bellas have once again called it a career for now.
