Nikki Bella revealed this week that she's hoping for a 2018 Bella Twin return, but both sisters are getting some help from a former WWE Champion.
Brie's husband and Nikki's brother-in-law Daniel Bryan has helped Brie prepare for an eventual return to the ring. According to Nikki on Inside The Ropes, she supports Daniel making a return of his own once his WWE contract expires.
"In a year we'll be able to know. I do (want him to be able to wrestle again). He eats, breathes, lives wrestling. He's been training with Brie in the ring. He's an amazing coach, but in his heart he wants to compete, he wants to be in the ring. Every time I walk into their house, he's watching old school wrestling. He'll have Birdie on his lap, and they're just watching wrestling matches. He's writing stuff down -- things he would want to do. Because I love him so much, I would want to see him get back in the ring, because I know that's his happiness," said Nikki.
Bryan was forced out of the ring in 2015 due to concussion-related issues, but has expressed his desire to wrestle again. Bryan has just over a year remaining on his WWE contract, then is free to wrestle wherever he pleases.
