Nikki Bella Wants To Replace Daniel Bryan As Smackdown GM

Nikki Bella might have a new role on Smackdown in the near future.

One of the storylines this season on Total Divas will be Nikki Bella vying for a spot as the General Manager of Smackdown. That is a job that Daniel Bryan currently holds, but his future with the company is in question as he wants to wrestle, but WWE won't clear him.

Since this is a storyline on Total Divas, there's always the possibility of this just being a storyline for Nikki Bella this season and nothing more will come from it. But it does open up the possibility that she could take his place if something were to go down.

She spoke with Bryan during one episode and laid out her plans, as Sportskeeda transcribes:

Well, if you don’t want to go back maybe we can pitch that I can just take your spot for a bit, I would be down to pitch it, or I could just be an assistant. Maybe I can start at Money in the Bank because I can’t be in a ladder match. I’m just really missing being in the woman’s division and being in the company for so long I’ve realized there’s so much we can do with the WWE and I would just absolutely love to be the GM, I can help Brie and Bryan and at the same time I can cause so much chaos.

Nikki Bella has been out of action since WrestleMania, as a neck injury has limited her ability to do much in-ring work. Her last match was teaming with John Cena to defeat Maryse and The Mize. Since then, she's mainly appeared on both Total Bellas and Total Divas. She has also recently competed on Dancing with the Stars, doing well but never really garnering huge fan support, eventually being eliminated this past week.
