Nikki Blackheart speaks on being ‘instantly hooked’ by pro wrestling at WrestleMania 39.
Blackheart is a talent that has drawn the attention of fans on the independent circuit, featuring as part of Bayley’s Lodestone training camp and recently also attended a WWE tryout. Blackheart is also reported to have been signed by the company.
While speaking to HypeTalkTV in a new interview, Nikki Blackheart was asked what got her into wrestling, with Nikki pointing to Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair’s bout at WrestleMania 39.
“So actually very crazy. I wasn’t a fan growing up, but I ended up finding myself in WrestleMania LA, and after watching the match with Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair, I was instantly hooked and I got the bug. I got the wrestling bug after that.”
Nikki was then asked what stood out for her in the bout, noting the presentation of the match was something she loved.
“So it’s just, the presentation was the main thing, because I’ve always done sports my entire life. I’ve always been a fan of the entertainment business and seeing how they were able to combine both and create something amazing and beautiful and, you know, seeing all the fans engaged and them telling a story through movements and and facials and, you know, I just- I loved everything about it and I wanted to be part of it right away.”
Bayley recently commented on the possibility of Blackheart being signed to WWE. You can read more about that here.
