Nikkita Lyons has gone down with an injury and in her place, Tiffany Stratton will look to earn a championship opportunity as she becomes a replacement in the semifinals of the NXT Women's Breakout Tournament.
Nikkita Lyons is one of the top Superstars of NXT 2.0 and giving her experience in the ring with names like Natalya , she was quickly considered a favorite to win the inaugural NXT Women's Breakout Tournament. However, as fate would have it, she will no longer be allowed to continue on in the tournament as it was announced on tonight's episode of NXT 2.0 that she has been sidelined with an injury and is forced to withdraw from the tournament. Per Josh Briggs, it was a freak accident that happened in training.
This does not mean that her scheduled opponent for the evening, Fallon Henley will not be facing suitable competition. Tiffany Stratton complained about Fallon getting a potential by to the finals of the tournament and as such, Fallon Henley decided to be a fighting competitor and said that if Tiffany could get it approved, she would be happy to face her in the tournament. Now, Tiffany Stratton has the opportunity to go all the way in the tournament after having never been included in the first place.
We will have the results of tonight’s Breakout Tournament matches as they occur. You can follow along with our live coverage here. Also, make sure to check out our review podcast after the show goes off the air on our YouTube channel.
