Nixon Newell Feels Like Door To Return To AEW/ROH Is Not Closed
Newell does not think the door is fully closed.
The couple, Nixon Newell and Miranda Alize, gave their recount of a situation that occurred while they were working a date for All Elite Wrestling in late 2025. After it was mutually agreed upon that three minutes was not enough time to work, Newell and Alize left the venue and would later state that there was no bad blood on either side.
In a new interview, Newell told The Wrestling Classic that she feels the door to come back to AEW is not closed.
“Um, I don’t think so because there was never any negative — when we left, it wasn’t like we stormed out. It was an understanding on both sides, and both of, ‘Yeah, okay, cool. No worries, we get it’ and then we were like, ‘Okay, cool. Thank you for the opportunity.’ It was never anything negative until the dirt sheets made it negative.”
The duo of Maya World and Hyan filled in for Newell and Alize. At the end of 2025, AEW signed World and Hyan to full-time contracts.
