Nixon Newell Returns To In-Ring Competition For The First Time Since Tearing Her ACL

 A full year later for Nixon Newell.

In April of 2017 former British Empire Women's Champion Nixon Newell signed with the WWE and was set to report to the WWE Performance Center once her VISA was completed so that she could travel to the United States seeing as how she is based out of Bargoed, Wales.

At the age of 23 years old Newell was announced as one of the competitors for the inaugural Mae Young Classic tournament last summer but unfortunately she tore her ACL before the tournament commenced. Newell would be out for a full year rehabbing her injury but at last night's NXT house show in Venice, FL, Newell made her in-ring return and NXT debut where she teamed up with Dakota Kai to take on the duo of Vanessa Borne & Reina Gonzalez.
