NJPW is turning 49, and they're celebrating in style this Thursday, March 4 from Japan.
The event sees a clash of double champions, as IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental Champion Kota Ibushi will take on the king of the Junior Heavyweights in Desperado, who holds the Junior Heavyweight and tag titles. Kota Ibushi has requested that the match be for both of his titles.
In addition, two first round New Japan Cup matches have been announced, pitting former World Champion Tetsuya Naito against the Great O Khan, and another former World Champion Satoshi Kojima against Jeff Cobb. The rest of the show is padded out with tag team matches.
