The Tokyo Dome won't be packed for Wrestle Kingdom 15.
In a new interview with Tokyo Sports, NJPW President Takami Obari stated capacity will be limited to 20,000 fans for Wrestle Kingdom 15 in January. The venue can hold over 50,000 fans depending on the configuration.
Obari took over as NJPW President from Harold Meij, who announced he was stepping down in September. Obari officially stepped into the position on October 23.
Wrestle Kingdom 15 will once again be a two-night event in 2021. The first night will take place on January 4 with the second night happening on January 5.
Matches for Wrestle Kingdom won't be announced until after Power Struggle. One night will be headlined by the G1 Climax briefcase holder (currently Kota Ibushi) against IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental Champion (currently Tetsuya Naito).
