NJPW President Takami Ohbari Comments On Karl Anderson Being Double Booked By NJPW And WWE

NJPW President Takami Ohbari excepts wrestlers to honor commitments.

NJPW President Takami Ohbari took to social media to say, "We are doing all we can to ensure every signed match in Osaka on November 5 happens as promised. We expect all wrestlers, especially champions, to honor their advertised commitments."

Ohbari's comments are in light of Karl Anderson being double booked for November 5. He is scheduled to defend his NEVER Openweight Title against Hikuleo at NJPW Battle Autumn, the same day he's scheduled to team with AJ Styles & Luke Gallows against The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, & Dominik Mysterio).

On October 4, NJPW announced that Karl Anderson would be defending his NEVER Openweight Championship against Hikuleo on November 5 at NJPW Battle Autumn.

On October 10, Anderson and Luke Gallows returned to WWE, making a surprise appearance on WWE Raw as backup for AJ Styles. Following the event, NJPW still advertised Anderson's bout against Hikuleo.

On October 17, The OC (Styles, Anderson, & Gallows) vs. The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, & Dominik Mysterio) was made official for WWE Crown Jewel, which also takes place on November 5.

Anderson and Gallows released a video saying they would not be appearing at NJPW Battle Autumn. NJPW said the match was still scheduled.

Fightful will continue to update fans on the situation as more is known.
