NJPW Taking "Disciplinary Action" Against Tama Tonga Following Social Media Activity And Choking Fan

NJPW thinks Tama Tonga has gone too far. 

At a G1 Climax event, Tama Tonga went into the crowd with a chair and put his hand around the neck of a fan. Video clips of the incident made their way around the internet including the one featured in this Tweet by Twitter user BulletClubItal

The last couple weeks, Tonga has been engaging in unruly conversations with fans and WWE wrestler Roman Reigns on Twitter. With those previous actions and the latest choking incident, New Japan Pro Wrestling released the following statement about Tonga.

NJPW takes actions taken by our wrestlers seriously. In light of recent inappropriate conduct by Tama Tonga including (Social Networking Service) usage, the company has decided to take disciplinary actions against said wrestlers, and will issue updated guidelines to all wrestlers.

NJPW did not get specific about Tonga's punishment but Fightful Wrestling will be updating this article if any more information is made available to media.
