Zack Sabre Jr. will defend the gold at NJPW Battle in the Valley.

In the video, it was clear that Connors has had an eye on Sabre Jr. since he won the title, and he noted that it might as well be called the Clark Connors Championship because he fits the hard-hitting style. Connors expressed his frustration that he didn't get a spot in the tournament for the gold, but he stated that he has been preparing for a shot at the title.

Sabre Jr. is the inaugural NJPW WORLD Television Champion; he beat Ren Narita in the finals of a tournament for the title at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17 on January 4.
