Number One Contender's Match Set For 9/23, Charlie Dempsey Arriving Soon In NXT UK

Next week, NXT UK will challenge a new number one contender for their top championship.

After Ilja Dragunov defeated WALTER at NXT TakeOver 36 for the NXT UK Championship, the landscape officially changed for the brand. Now, it has been announced that next week, Rampage Brown, Nathan Frazier, and A-Kid will meet in a triple threat match for the right to determine the next challenger.

This week also saw vignettes for Charlie Dempsey. Dempsey is the former Bailey Matthews, Matthews is the son of William Regal. Dempsey said in his vignette that he was not about high-flying and that he was looking forward to grounding many of the superstars in NXT UK.

Noam Dar is going to the finals of the NXT UK Heritage Cup Championship Tournament finals.

Defeating Kenny Williams on the September 16 episode of NXT UK, Noam Dar now awaits the winner between the eventual match between Wolfgang and Teoman in the finals of the tournament to determine Tyler Bate’s next challenger for the NXT UK Heritage Cup Championship. That match will also be taking place next week.
