The National Wrestling Alliance has announced the first entrant in The Burke Invitational at NWA 74.
In a tweet on August 2, the NWA revealed that "The Perfect Knockout" Samantha Starr will compete in the match, and she will be accompanied to the ring by her mother, Baby Doll. Starr is a third-generation wrestler, as she is the daughter of Sam Houston & The Perfect 10. Houston's father was Grizzly Smith. His half-brother is WWE Hall of Famer Jake "The Snake" Roberts, and his sister is Rockin' Robin.

The winner of the invitational will earn a shot at the NWA World Women's Championship on the second night of NWA 74.
