NXT 9/25 Viewership Slips In Second Week; Still Over One Million Viewers

NXT viewership slips in week two.

ShowBuzz Daily reports that Wednesday's episode of NXT drew 1,006,000 viewers. This number is down from last week's viewership number of 1,179,000 viewers, which marked the premiere of the brand on USA. The first two NXT shows were live for one-hour on USA beginning at 8 p.m. ET. The second hour aired live on WWE Network. The show will air live for both hours beginning next Wednesday, Oct. 2.

Next Wednesday will also mark the debut of AEW Dynamite on TNT, which will go head-to-head with NXT.

Wednesday's episode posted a 0.32 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic, well down from the 0.43 demographic rating the show did for its premiere episode on Sept. 18. NXT finished eighth among cable originals, losing out to American Horror Story, South Park, Basketball Wives, Black Ink Crew, MTV's The Challenge, Cuomo Prime Time, and Black Ink Crew: Compton.
