NXT's Raul Mendoza Gets A Name Change, Now Known As Cruz Del Toro

Legado Del Fantasma's Raul Mendoza is no more.

Raul Mendoza has been with WWE/NXT for nearly six years at this point, but going forward he will perform under the new name Cruz Del Toro alongside his stablemates Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde and Elektra Lopez. Mendoza's WWE.com profile was recently updated to reflect the change, despite the fact that Mendoza competed under his original name on the 4/12 edition of NXT 2.0 in a NXT Tag Team Championship Gauntlet Match.

Toro isn't alone, as WWE has been rapidly changing the names of multiple superstars in recent years. The main roster has underwent changes too, such as this past Monday when Austin Theory's name was shortened to just Theory. Elias also recently returned under the name Ezekiel, while also claiming to be Elias' younger brother.
