Naomi had to relinquish her SmackDown Women's Championship this past Tuesday due to injury, an injury that will keep her out of action for several weeks.
She was scheduled to be part of an 8-Woman Tag Match at the Smackdown Live Event at Madison Square Garden on March 12, and now her bum knee will force her to pull out.
Luckily, it seems that WWE has found a more than suitable replacement.
Currenly undefeated NXT Women's Champion Asuka will wrestle in Naomi's stead, joining forces with Nikki Bella, Becky Lynch and Tamina against Alexa Bliss, Mickie James, Natalya and Carmella.
James Ellsworth will no doubt be at ringside to support his "boo" Carmella, and the chinless one has a habit of trying to get involved in her matches, so it's possible that we might see the Empress of Tomorrow slap the Asuka Lock on James Ellsworth.
Which alone would be worth the price of admission.
