As WWE enters it's "New Era," former NXT stars Finn Balor and Carmella bid farewell to NXT fans in presumably heir last NXT live event in Houston, Texas.
In the video above, you can see Finn Balor give a farewell speech in the ring with several other NXT superstars, including Bayley and Shinsuke Nakamura. In the video link here, you can see Carmella and Bayley, affectionately called "Baymella," make their way down the ramp.
Balor teamed with Shinsuke Nakamura to defeat Bobby Roode and Samoa Joe in a tag team match in the main event of the show. Earlier in the event, Bayley and Carmella defeated Mandy Rose and Daria. Bayley and Carmella's friendship was well documented in NXT's Breaking Ground program.
Balor's debut on Monday Night Raw was definitively a successful one, pinning Roman Reigns and earn a spot to face Seth Rollins for the WWE Universal Championship at SummerSlam. Carmella was one of the six NXT superstars to be selected in the WWE Draft on July 19, being selected to SmackDown. The other NXT stars selected were Balor, American Alpha, Nia Jax, Mojo Rawley and Alexa Bliss.
