NXT superstar Lacey Lane revealed on social media that she has had her name changed to Kayden Carter. Carter still has her Twitter user name as "Lacey Lane" but her handle has been changed to @wwekayden.

Carter is a regular at NXT live events as part of the Florida loop but hasn't made many appearances on NXT television. She last appeared on the Mar. 27 episode of NXT, teaming with Kacy Catanzaro and going to a no contest with the team of Aliyah & Vanessa Borne. She also took part in the Women's Battle Royal at WWE Worlds Collide: Brands Collide over WrestleMania 35 weekend.
Carter took part in the 2018 Mae Young Classic, defeating Vanessa Kraven in the first round and Taynara Conti in the second round before losing to Meiko Satomura in the quarterfinals. She was signed by WWE following the conclusion of the tournament.
It is unknown when Carter will debut her new name on NXT television.
