NXT Takeover: Chicago Title Match, Stipulation Set; Matches Made For Next Week's NXT

This week's episode of NXT saw the table set for next week's show, as well as NXT Takeover: Chicago.

The NXT Championship match was confirmed, with title holder Aleister Black defending against Lars Sullivan. Black was on the receiving end of Sullivan's finishing move at the start of the program.

Elsewhere for NXT Takeover: Chicago, it was confirmed that the planned Johnny Gargano vs. Tommaso Ciampa match will serve as a Chicago Street Fight, following in the footsteps of Legion Of Doom & Ahmed Johnson vs. The Nation Of Domination at WrestleMania 13.

During Wednesday night's show, it was revealed that next week will see a rematch between Lacey Evans and WWE Mae Young Classic winner Kairi Sane. Evans was able to defeat Sane last week by catching her with a big right hand as sane flew off the top rope.

Also added to next week's NXT, Undisputed Era's Roderick Strong -- a reigning NXT Tag Team Champion -- will take on Danny Burch, who has been aiding Strong's nemesis in Pete Dunne.

After his victory over Fabian Aichner, EC3 would comment on his win, which you can see below. He addresses the interruption of Johnny Gargano.
