The date of next NXT TakeOver special has been revealed.
Following tonight's NXT television tapings from Full Sail, Cathy Kelley announced that NXT will return with a TakeOver special on Saturday, June 1. The location of the event was not revealed. Kelley stated that Triple H will announce more details this Monday on his social media account.
Back in March, Triple H announced on a media call that NXT would hold a TakeOver special on June 8 in San Jose as a standalone event, meaning there would be no other WWE specials that weekend. However, the event was never made official in any other capacity. Furthermore, WWE announced earlier today that they will return to Saudi Arabia on June 7.
With the addition of the Saudi Arabia show on June 7, WWE seemingly decided to move the TakeOver special up one week to June 1.
