At long last, A WWE developmental talent will make their debut at NXT Takeover: Back To Brooklyn.
Ember Moon, known as Athena and her real name Adrienne Reese will make her televised debut at the August 20 WWE Network special, as advertised in a vignette on Wednesday's episode of NXT. Reese signed a contract with WWE nearly a year ago, but has been featured on live events and dark matches.
The vignette featured Ember Moon's silhouette standing in front of a moon, before a graphic indicated her start date of August 20.
Reese had become a highly regarded independent talent in the years prior to her signing, making a name in Absolute Intense Wrestling, SHIMMER, Ring of Honor, and WSU. Many expected her NXT debut to come well before it did. She made her live event debut last October.
There's no word on who Ember Moon will take on in her debut match.
