Olympic coverage is affecting NXT's taping schedule.
With the Tokyo Olympics airing on the USA Network, some alterations were made, but also to the taping schedule for NXT as well. Fightful Select reported the following:
It was revealed that the July 27 episode of NXT would air on Syfy due to Olympic coverage on NXT, and we've learned that episode actually isn't slated to be live. NXT is planning a double taping next week, with tapings set for Tuesday the 20th and Wednesday the 21st. Regulars in the crowd have been invited to participate in the audience for both upcoming shows, but the July 27 aired episode is not planned to be "live."
